8 reviews for 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Industrial Ethernet Switch (8× RJ45 + 2× SFP) – LNK-IMC208SGP-SFP

    Armyt –

So this has worked out better than I had hoped. It is 10 port not 8 port if counting the SFP slots. I had a 4 port but have been wanting a bigger PoE switch to add more cameras so being it is 10(8) was perfect. I mounted in my enclosure connect the power, swapped over the ethernet cables and boom it was running before I even got back to the DVR. I didn’t want to spend a ton on ethernet cable, and I don’t trust many of the ethernet cable makers for PoE cable as most is copper coated zinc, which is known to short out the higher the voltage run thru it. So you run the cheap stuff the max length you want to a switch, the use good wire being all copper for the hopefully shorter runs to the cameras. So this was a good review for me and 0 issues. Truly plug and play.

I got this for a cabinet mount project that needed a good amount of PoE ports, and this so far has been perfect. I was able to get 48V to power the device, and after connecting the switch to the router, I was able to plug in PoE cameras and sensors which worked right away and powered up, while also getting ip addresses assigned. It is small and compact, and though I haven’t yet tried the SFP ports as I don’t need them just yet, I am sure they work and for more bandwidth I will probably use them soon if it makes sense.

I added this switch to my home network, and it has made a noticeable difference. The 8 PoE ports simplify powering my devices, eliminating the need for extra cables. The 2 SFP slots offer some future-proofing, which I find useful. Installing it with the Din-Rail mount was straightforward. Since then, it has been dependable, managing all my streaming and gaming activities seamlessly. The 48~57VDC power input integrates well with my setup. If you need a switch that’s both reliable and user-friendly, this one is worth considering.

If you are building a rack system, you need this type of switch. It supports the Din-Rail Standard and allows two SFP connections to receive and forward your fiber network. Built for heavy-duty industrial use and with the standard 4-pin power block, this is for 24/7 use in industrial or service center use. This cannot be used as a local desktop switch but suits itself perfectly as a component in an engineer’s system design.

The switch powers all my cameras just fine and I don’t get any network hiccups. The case is nice and strong and it mounts in the DIN rail as expected.

This switch “has it all” for DIY wiring for CCTV / IP cameras, home security systems, home automation, etc.
Operating range up to 175F should survive attic and garage temps, at least for the East coast, where I live. Screw terminal power interface makes it easy to power, though the voltage range is fairly narrow and high – I had to source a 48V PS, as most of my stuff operates at 12VDC to 24VDC. It’s fanless, which means it’s quiet, and naturally dust and water resistant, at least to some degree. POE support make installation of cameras, etc. extremely easy, Gigabit supplies plenty of bandwidth, and finally, SFP ports means it can “speak fiber” – This is pretty big for me – it means that I can put this switch someplace risky, tie it to my network with fiber, and have *less* concern about it sending the surge from a lightning strike towards the rest of my network. It’s also great if you want to put a POE switch somewhere on a different, potentially less trustworthy, power supply, tied to your network.

This really isn’t an industrial switch. It also has the annoying DIN rail mounts that you have to yank down to get off. It also is a fair bit more cost than other generic switches like it.

With that said it powered my cameras fine and was able to maintain a 113MB/s transfer of a 500GB file. The switch hardware seems fine. I just feel like it is probably bragging above what it is capable of environmental wise.

I received this item today, it came well packaged and is just what I expected. It works exactly as it should and seem well made.

Overall, this purchase perfectly matches its description, and I am extremely satisfied with the product. It definitely deserves a five-star rating and I would purchase again!
